FINALLY! The montage is here! A few of the highlights from the series! Enjoy!
A New Era is Upon Us…
December 20th 2011…the very first episode of our play-through of New Super Mario Bros. Wii was uploaded. Our intention? To play together, as friends and have an enjoyable time doing so.
July 16th 2012…the final episode of our play-through of New Super Mario Bros. Wii was uploaded. With it, we had completed the main motive and inspiration behind The Geek Centre.
It has been almost four months since it ended…and a lot of stuff has happened to all of us. But soon…the new era - The Geek Centre 2.0 - will be here, bringing with it a whole array of new content.
We have been busy sorting out our new review show, Front Row, as well as thinking up some new original content we can produce. But, what we do have planned is some exciting Wii U coverage that will begin in the last week of the year (I’m not allowed it till Christmas… ;( Otherwise it would be sooner)
But we cannot forget that we have been around for almost one year, so how will we celebrate making it past the, always difficult, first year? By uploading a montage of our New Super Mario Bros. Wii play-through, that’s how!
So, everyone…mark on your calenders, December 3rd. You aren’t going to want to miss this!

TheGeekCentre is BACK! 2.0
Hello AGAIN!
We are back! It’s been a while but TheGeekCentre is back! RJ & Malcolm have brought new things to the table and it’s going to be better than ever. It will be a while before we get things into gear such as Let’s Plays, Walkthroughs and Game Reviews, but we are upload brand new original content!
Starting with the show we have been trying to make since the very birth of TheGeekCentre, Front Row.
RJ and Malcolm host the first episode with reviewing SkyFall! Check it out now as it is live.

Front Row will be around every few weeks with reviews of latest films and even some old one (whether they be fantastic or craptastic).
The Geek Spot will hopefully become a show where we don’t have to do it by webcam and we can actually sit together and host the show. RJ, Malcolm & Richard will be doing this.
With the Release of the Wii U coming out soon, that does mean there will be a few episodes to be expected of “How To Suck at Mario” to return.
New Shows, Original Content and an adjustment in programming. Nothing like a fresh start and a new logo to get you going again.

Huh?
What’s this? This site is still here? Who would’ve thought?
Joking aside, we have some good news and some bad news, which would you like to hear first?
We’ll start with the bad news, who don’t want you guys to be depressed. The bad news is; The Geek Centre will be taking a hiatus…and we’re not sure when we’ll be back!
The good news?

Yep…we’re making a montage of the best moments of the ‘How to Suck At Mario’ series, which will be the last video we upload before our hiatus. Will your favourite moment be included, who knows?
And on that note…we bid you farewell! Maybe we will meet again, or maybe we’ll drift apart, never to hear from each other again…
…or perhaps we’ll see you when we play ‘New Super Mario Bros. U’!
- Malcolm
Things to come…
I’m just going to get straight to the point here. There are a couple things you can expect from us over the summer.
1) ‘How To Suck at Mario’ is incredibly close to finishing! Infact, as I make this post, episode 28 (of 30) is uploading. After the finale, we will be posting a montage of all our favourite moments from the series.
2) We will, most probably, NOT be doing a series on Rayman Origins. We tried recording it a few weeks ago, but nothing really went well and was more silent than anything. As for another game…we are in the middle of picking one.
3) We will be filming a short sketch this week, which takes influence from Team Fortress 2. One of the members has become so obsessed with the game, he starts acting and dressing like the Scout.
4) Finally, there will be some short Let’s Plays done in the near future, with games ranging from the SNES all the way to the PS3! Oh…and we might be bringing back the Let’s Preview series!

How to Suck at Mario: Episode 20 - IT’S A WHORE!
It’s Like a Giant Swastika…. Oh it’s a U.
Koopa’s Bar in Swansea
Last Night, Malcolm, Benny & Myself (RJ) went out into town and decided to try out Koopa’s bar. Koopa’s Bar is a Gaming Bar for the alternative scene. It’s pretty much a nerdy take on a nightclub and we have to say… one of the BEST nights out we’ve had! The people we met, the drinks were cheap, the games were brilliant to play. Playing Mario Kart Wii drunk maybe a little bit harder, but it’s a lot more fun. They offered recent video games (Such as COD Black Ops, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, Lego Series & LittleBigPlanet) and old school video games (Such as Super Mario World on the SNES, House of the Living Dead 2 on Dreamcast & a Gaming table downstairs that contained PacMan and other old school arcade games).
This place was fantastic and cannot wait to visit this place again, the entertainment was awesome (The Guns were playing when we were there). The people were friendly and cool. (We bumped into people dressed as Naruto & Kakashi, as seen below)

The expirence was fantastic, the place was superb and would be suitable for any geeky people who also love the alternative scene.
Bravo Koopa’s 10 out of 10!
